Hello everyone!
I have a swatch of China Glaze's Crimson for you today. I actually didn't know that I had this polish at first, but I'm glad that I found it. It's a beautiful vampy polish that I can see myself wearing a lot.
I apologize in advance for the photos though. My camera decided to be a little difficult while I was taking photos, but I think I got some good shots of this polish. Don't mind my hands being so bright lol.
Crimson is a dark burgundy purple. This is two coats without a top coat. The formula was a little bit runny and thin with the first coat. The second coat definitely evened everything out. I also love how this polish is so glossy without the top coat.
In certain lights, this polish looks like a dark burgundy, then black, but I think it leans towards the purple side more in my opinion. I was a bit confused at first because I thought it was a dark purple. It definitely is red toned though. I don't think that Crimson is the best name for this polish to be honest.
Despite the color name, I'm really in love with this polish. I really love vampy colors and this is the perfect dark polish to have for the fall and winter!
What do you think of this polish? What's your favorite "vampy" polish?

Sugar Spun Nails
Hey everyone!
For today, I decided to try out a popular technique that I've been wanting to do for ages: sugar spun nails! These were actually pretty easy to do and I love the effect that comes out from these.
For this design, I painted two coats of Sinful Colors Big Daddy. On a scrap piece of paper, I placed a few drops of Sinful Colors Endless Blue on it.
With a dotting tool (or toothpick), I swirled the polish around to thicken it up. I also blew on it a little to speed up the drying time.
Once the polish thickens, the polish will turn stringy and you can start placing it on the nail. I did a back and forth motion for all the nails. I did this until I thought there were enough strings on the nail. You can make the strings as thick or thin as you want, but I did a combination of both.
For the accent nail, I added Wet n Wild's French White Creme on top of Endless Blue.
I think the one thing that I like about these nails is the texture. It feels really nice and it's an easy way to get a textured design without texture polishes. I almost tried it with a texture polish, but I wasn't sure how that would come out. If you all would like to see how that goes, let me know and I can try it out for you!
What do you think of this design? Have you tried sugar spun nails before?

Overlapping Dotticure
Hey everyone!
Today I have a simple dotticure to show you! I really like how this design is so simple and eye catching at the same time. The effect of the dots overlapping really make it a cool design.
For this design, I used the biggest sized dot of the dotting tool. If you want smaller dots, you can use the smaller dot sizes to make it smaller.
I used Sinful Colors Amethyst, Wet n Wild's French White Creme, and Sinful Colors Creme Pink for this design. You can use any and as many colors as you want.
First, I placed a dot of polish onto a scrap piece of paper. Next, I dipped the dotting tool into the polish and made a row of dots along the nail. With the next line of dots, I placed the line slightly over the first line of dots. I continued doing this for the other colors until the nail was filled.
I didn't use a base color for these nails, but you can paint your nails first and then do the dots if you'd like.
I love this design so much. I think this looks great on short nails, but it would look good on long nails as well. It's so eye catching, it kind of looks like tie dye a little bit.
What do you think of this design?

NYC's Lincoln Square Lavender
Hello everyone! How are you all?
My nails are now nubbies again. I cut a little too much when I was clipping my nails. They were getting quite long anyways. I don't think I've ever had them this short for the blog before, but I really like them. It feels sort of...liberating to have nubs. It's kind of like a weight is being lifted from your nails if that makes sense lol. They should grow back in a few weeks, but for now we'll have to deal with my nubs.
Today, I have a swatch of NYC's Lincoln Square Lavender for you.
Lincoln Square Lavender is a pink creme with a hint of lavender. It's definitely a pink polish though. The name is a bit misleading, but at least it's catchy though. This is two coats without a top coat.
The formula and application was good. This is the quick drying nail polish and it did dry pretty fast. It was a little over a minute, but still a fast dry time.
Honestly, I'm on the fence with this polish. I like the color, but I don't love it. It's a bit boring. It's not really unique to me, which is why I won't be wearing this too much.
To spice it up a bit, I added some pizazz! Well, China Glaze's Pizazz to be exact. This glitter really makes the color pop out more. I like it better with the glitter than by itself.
Overall, I like this polish but it's a bit boring. It's not going to be a go to polish for me. I think it looks way better with some glitter on top, so that's how I'll be wearing this polish the next time I wear it.
What do you think of this polish? What's your favorite glitter polish?

Flowers and Dots
Hey everyone!
I've been kind of uninspired lately when it comes to nail art, so when in doubt do polka dots. I used my dotting tools to create this cute flower and polka dot design. If you don't have dotting tools, there are many different items that you can use such as toothpicks, pens, pins, etc.
I started out with three coats of OPI's My Vampire is Buff as the base color. For the flowers, I made four small dots with a dotting tool using Sinful Colors Nirvana. I used Sinful Colors Black on Black for the center of the flower. Finally, I placed small black dots into the remaining space on the nail.
I really love how this design turned out. It was simple and quick to do, which is what I love about the dotting tools. There's so many designs that you can do with them, I should use them more often lol.

OPI-Stay the Night
Hey everyone!
Today, I have a swatch of OPI's Stay the Night for you. This is a part of the Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Collection that came out last year, but I recently paid a visit to Marshalls and bought Stay the Night and Get Your Number (both were in the OPI Holiday Duo Pack) for only $7.99 compared to $18 for the pack. If you're looking for these liquid sands, I would visit Marshalls to see if they have the rest of the colors.
Stay the Night is a textured black with bright pink glitter. This is three coats without a top coat. The formula was quite sheer with the first coat, but leveled out with the second and third coat. I had no problems with the application, it was easy to work with. The texture is gritty, but it's very subtle.
I wanted to see what it looked like with a top coat, so I slabbed on a thick coat of top coat. As you can see, the glitters are more prominent and pop out more with the top coat. Also, you can still feel the texture but it's much smoother than without.
I only used one coat of top coat, but if you want more of a glossy finish, I'd recommend using a couple more coats. I honestly prefer this polish without the top coat, but I also love the way it looks with top coat.
What do you think of this polish? Do you like textured polishes?

Estee Lauder-Black Wine
Hello everyone!
Sorry for the late post today. I swear whenever it rains, I just get extra sleepy for some reason. As much as I love the rain, it's so dreary to look at and makes me want to go into sleepy mode.
I have a swatch of Estee Lauder's Black Wine for you today. I tried to use this in a nail art design, but it failed. Luckily, I took pictures of this beautiful color before I did the design.
The funny thing is that I didn't know that this was an Estee Lauder polish to begin with. Lately, I've been rummaging through my girlfriend's nail polishes since she can't wear it for her job. I really liked this color so I took it home with me, but it just took me so long to realize that it was Estee Lauder and that the name was on the back of the bottle the whole time. Silly me lol.
Black Wine is a dark blood red. This is two coats without a top coat. It's literally similar to the color of red wine. The formula was a bit on the thick side, but once it smooths out it's good to go. The application was good with this polish as well. It came in a really small bottle, so maybe it was also in a set of polishes.
Unfortunately, I don't have that many details about this polish to be honest. I tried doing some research on it online and didn't come up with any results. Even the Estee Lauder website didn't have it on their main polishes section, so my guess is that this polish is discontinued. It's a shame because it's a really good polish. On the other hand, Estee Lauder polishes run for $20 each, so I know that I probably won't be buying this brand any time soon.
Overall, I really liked this polish but the brand is way too expensive for me. I probably won't be buying any Estee Lauder polishes anytime soon. I'll settle with this polish for now.
What do you think of this polish? How much is too much for a polish?
Until next time!

Sally Hansen-Cherry, Cherry Bang, Bang!
Hello everyone!
I wasn't going to do a Saturday post today, but I'm still trying to figure out what days would be best for me to post. Currently, I post on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but I hate having the gap between Saturday and Sunday. I'm also messing around with the time as well. If anyone has any suggestions as to what times are best to post, let me know!
For today, I have a swatch of Sally Hansen's Cherry, Cherry Bang, Bang! I used this as a base for a nail art design that I did a few days ago, which will be posted soon. I've worn this before once, but I forgot how pretty this color is!
Cherry,Cherry Bang,Bang! is a purple with magenta undertones (purgenta? magenple? lol). This is two coats without a top coat. It's a little bit darker than what's showing in the photos, but I think it's because of the shine from the light.
This color is a part of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure collection. I bought this on sale at CVS for around $3-4. I remember that it was 50% as well. Typically, these polishes run around $7-8, but I usually see these polishes on some sort of sale during the year. If you want to save some money for a good polish, I'd recommend getting them on sale.
The formula was great to work it. I really had no problems with it. I also had no problems with the application. The Complete Salon Manicure polishes have a nice wide brush, which I love and makes it easier to apply the polish.
Overall, I would recommend buying this polish. Like I said earlier, these are a bit expensive, so I'd recommend getting them on sale if you're tight on money. I think it's a nice color to wear for the fall and winter, since it's darker but bright polish (if that makes sense lol), but you can wear it anytime of the year.
What do you think of this polish?

Simple Autumn Nails
Hello everyone!
I have a simple fall manicure using two popular nail art techniques: the saran wrap and the fishtail braid. I originally wanted to do something more complicated, but sometimes simple is better. This is also my first time doing the fishtail design and I think it brought out the design even more.
For these nails, I first started off with one coat of OPI's Schnapps Out of It! on all the nails except the accent nail for the base color. Once it dried, I painted one coat of Sinful Colors Nude over it. With a piece of plastic wrap (you can use a plastic bag as well), I dabbed the plastic wrap onto the nail. If you have some bald spots on the nail from the base color picking up, use a detail brush and dab each color together on the spots.
For the accent nail, I used the fishtail braid technique. I used one coat of Sinful Colors Nude as the base color. Once it dried, I made a stripe across the nail using OPI's Schnapps Out of It. Next, I made another stripe with Sinful Colors Nirvana over the previous stripe. I continued this with Sinful Colors Nude and the rest of the colors in an overlapping pattern.
I really love this manicure. I think that all the colors go great together and it really reminds me of fall. I think my favorite is the accent nail. I love how it makes the nails pop.
What do you think of this design? Does this remind you of fall?

Cute Star Nails
Hello everyone! How are you all?
Today I have a cute nail art design for you today!
I originally had a different idea in mind for these nails, but I decided to save that one for a different time. I have a Spongebob poster in my room (don't laugh lol) and got the inspiration from that design, as far as how to do the stars, but I thought it would be best to just make a separate design from the poster.
Lately, certain ideas that I originally have to do nail art on bring out even more designs in my head. It's so complicated, but it's fun. Anyone else get that way?
For this design, I painted two coats of Sinful Colors Endless Blue as the base color. Using a detail brush, I freehanded the stars using Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow. To make the stars easier for me, I first drew a star (the easy way where you go up,down,up,across, down) and then filled in the empty spaces with the polish and made the points a little longer. Finally, I finished it off with China Glaze's Fairy Dust.
I think these are so adorable and they're very simple to do. I hope the star part was easy to understand. It was the only way I could try to describe it for you all lol.
This design looks great with long and short nails. You can also do these with any colors that you want. I really like the last pose that I did in these photos. It really shows off the stars well and in a way kind of connect them all together, which kind of happened on accident haha.
What do you think of this design? Have you created star nails before?
Until next time!

Horizontal Fall Lines
Hello everyone!
Today I have a really simple manicure to show you using lines. I also wanted to incorporate some fall colors into these nails. I don't really know what to call these to be honest. My girlfriend said it reminded her of corn, so she wants me to call it corn on the cob haha. What do you all think I should call this design?
For this design, I painted two coats of OPI's A-Piers to be Tan as the base color. With a detail brush, I created small horizontal lines using OPI's My Vampire is Buff. Finally, I finished the design off with a top coat.
You can make the lines any size and length that you'd like. I mainly created smaller lines, but on some of the nails, the lines are a bit bigger so it really depends on your preference.
I think that this is a good nail art design if you're in a rush and want some simple nail art on your nails. It's simple and visually appealing, which is what I really like in nail art. I'm definitely going to try this with other colors in the future.
What do you think of this design?
