Hey everyone!
Today is going to be a short post. I'm not really feeling my nails at the moment and out of all the photos that I took I only got one good one since it started to get dark out. I think I might take these off right after I post the photo to Instagram and Tumblr.
Plus, tomorrow is my birthday and I really don't want to keep these for my birthday nails. I'd rather have polka dots, which is tomorrow's prompt lol.
Colors Used:
Wet n Wild's French White Creme
Wet n Wild's Tickled Pink
Sinful Colors Pink Forever
Sinful Colors Cream Pink
I did a simple gradient using different pink polishes. I first painted one coat of Wet n Wild's French White Creme. Then, with a makeup sponge, I put the colors onto the sponge and dabbed and rolled the polish onto my nails. Next, repeat until the colors become opaque. Finally, finish off with a top coat to blend the colors together. You can also put on a glitter top coat as well for some extra sparkle.
In the photo, they look alright. I look at them in front of me and I don't really like them. Maybe it's because they're pink. I'm not really a pink person, so maybe that's turning me off from them. Oh well then.
What do you think of this design? Tomorrow is polka dots (my favorite design!) and my birthday!
Until next time!

31DC2013 Day 3: Yellow Nails
Hello everyone!
It's day three and I'm surprised that I've been doing this everyday so far. I did want to take a break because I really liked my orange nails, but decided against it. Also, I unfortunately broke some nails on my left hand and since I hate having nails not the same length, I had to cut down the nails on my right hand. Oh well, I love nubbies either way!
For this day, I also had a hard time trying to pick a design. If having five oranges in your collection is bad enough, I only have three yellows total in my collection. Next to orange, yellow is my least favorite color. I like using it in nail art, but other than that, I really don't like it at all.
Even if I don't like yellow, I actually really liked this design that I came up with. I think the color combination is what made me like them a lot.
Colors Used:
Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow
Wet n Wild's I Need a Refresh-mint
Wet n Wild's Kaleidoscope
I did a gradient for the majority of the nails and then topped it off with Wet n Wild's Kaleidoscope for a little glitter. For the accent nail, I free-handed triangles on my nail. Overall, I think it's a cute design.

31DC2013 Day 2: Orange Nails
Hey everyone!
Today was kind of busy for me.I didn't have enough time to work on my nails earlier because I had to go see a family member in the hospital. Once I got home, I rushed into the house and did this design real quick.
Plus, I had a hard time trying to figure out what to do with the color orange. Orange is not my favorite color, so I only have around five orange polishes in my collection. I tried at least 4 different designs and they just didn't look right with orange. Luckily, I came up with an idea in the hospital and it came out exactly how I imagined it, and that never happens!
Colors Used (from top of the nail):
Wet n Wild French White Creme
Sinful Colors Orange Creme
Sinful Colors Hazard
Sally Hansen's Sun Kissed
Sinful Colors Big Daddy
Top Coat: NYC Matte Me Crazy
Base Color: Sally Hansen's Polar Bare
I did an off white base and then I used a small dotting tool to do gradient dots with different shades of orange down the middle of the nail. To finish it off, I used a matte top coat. Overall, I'm really glad that they came out like this. I'm kind of sad that I'll have to take them off for the next color on the list.
What do you think of this design?
Until next time!

Gradient Stripe over Black Polish
Hello everyone!
First, I wanted to say hello to my new followers. I'm really glad that I got the chance to see so many great blogs. I love finding new nail blogs and seeing everyone's creations! So hello to you all.
Today, I have another nail art for you. For some reason, after finishing my nail wheel the other day, I've had all these nail art ideas in my head but that's a good thing though!
I did a gradient stripe over Sinful Colors Black on Black. It looks so cool and it's pretty simple to do. Let's get to it!
Colors Used:
Sinful Colors Black on Black
Sinful Colors Cream Pink
Sinful Colors Sweet Tooth
Sinful Colors Endless Blue
Sinful Colors Energetic Red
Before you even start painting your nails, you want to get your materials out first. You'll need tape and some makeup sponges. Getting these out first will cut down the time and you won't mess up your nails in the process of getting them.
To achieve this look, I first painted one coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black as my base color. Once the black is completely dry, get your tape and pat it down on your hand a few times to make it less sticky so the polish doesn't stick to the tape.
Then, line the pieces of tape on your nails so you'll have a line in the middle of your nail. It doesn't have to be perfect and you can do this with any kind of pattern that you want.
Next, grab a makeup sponge and paint your colors onto it. Then, dab the colors onto your nails. You're going to want to sponge it on a few times so that the color is opaque enough (I did about 3-4 dabs with the sponge to give you an idea).
Finally, peel the tape off and finish off with a top coat to bring out the gradient and blend the colors in together. If you have any polish on your fingers, grab a Q-tip and clean up any polish.
Also, if you make any mistakes such as some of the stickiness from the tape is on the nail, you can just paint a thin coat of black polish to cover it up. If it's the gradient, you can lightly dab whatever color you need more of onto the stripe to even it out.
It's a pretty cool and simple design to do! I messed up a few times, but it was nothing too serious. Even if the colors aren't perfectly sponged on, it still comes out good!

Gradient Leopard Print Nails
Double posting for the win! I added a little nail art to Sinful Colors Lavender. I haven't done leopard print in quite some time, but I think they came out okay. I just need a little more practice is all!
I did the middle and ring finger with the leopard print as the accent nails with Sinful Colors Lavender and Candy Coated. The leopard print is Wet n' Wild's French White Creme and Sinful Colors Black on Black. The rest of the fingers I topped with Hard Candy's Black Tie Optional.
I think I put too much polish with the black, but they don't look too bad. I love how with doing leopard print nails, you can kind of cover up your mistakes with it.
Until next time!

Sunset Palm Tree Nails
Woah, I'm excited for the first post! I've been toying with the idea of creating a nail blog for ages, and now it's all coming together. It's so exciting! It was a lot of work to just get this first post started, but I'm up for the challenge. I'm sure it will get easier once I pick up the pace and get used to things.
There's always a first for everything, so I decided to do something that I haven't done before for the first post: sunset gradient nails. I'm not really a beach person, but I don't mind it on my nails though. I'm also really feeling the color combination on this one. Let's take a look!
Colors Used:
Sinful Colors Energetic Red
Sinful Colors Big Daddy
Wet and Wild Lemon Drop
Black nail striper
For the gradient, I first applied base coat, and then used white polish for the base. The white polish will brighten the colors more. When the white polish dried, I painted the gradient on a makeup sponge and dabbed the sponge onto the nail. Along with dabbing, I also rolled the sponge onto the nail to make sure all the colors got onto the nail. I did this until the colors were opaque.
On the ring finger, I added a palm tree using a black nail striper. I made a line on the bottom (if you're bringing your nails towards you) of the nail, then created a curved line for the trunk of the tree. Next, I painted the leaves on the tree by making smaller curved lines. On the middle finger, I painted three V-shapes for the birds.
I thought it was going to be difficult, but it turned out to be very easy to do. It looks like a real sunset!
What do you think? I'm thinking of doing this design with different colors. It would be cool to see the different combinations.
Well until next time!
