L.A. Colors Pink Sizzle
Hey everyone!
I have a swatch of L.A. Colors Pink Sizzle for you today. I've had this polish since last Christmas I believe because I wasn't sure how the L.A.Color polishes were going to turn out. I guess I had that "dollar polish mentality" and thinking that it wasn't going to be good at first, and now I love it and I'll definitely be buying more L.A. Colors in the future.
Pink Sizzle is a magenta duochrome with gold and pink shimmer.This is two coats without a top coat. The duochrome is soft in this polish, but it is visible. It was opaque in two coats for me, but if I added a third coat, I think you could see more of the duochrome. The formula and application was excellent. I really didn't have any problems with this polish at all. I really love how the gold shimmer comes out in the polish.
Overall, I would recommend buying Pink Sizzle. I think it's a great polish at a good price. I'll be buying more L.A. Color polishes in the future.

I then added Color Club's Snowflakes to Pink Sizzle to bring it out more. I love how the flakes look, especially the orange with the gold shimmer. They go great together. It was kind of hard to capture the flakes, but I hope you all can see it.
Overall, I would recommend buying Pink Sizzle. I think it's a great polish at a good price. I'll be buying more L.A. Color polishes in the future.

Bordered Newspaper Nails
Happy Monday everyone!
I almost didn't post these nails today, but I'm actually starting to like them the more that I look at them.
For today's mani, I created bordered newspaper nails. If you follow me on Instagram, I bought OPI's My Vampire is Buff and I thought it would be the perfect color to go with newspaper nails.
I wish I did a better job with the newspaper part though. I thought it would be pretty easy to transfer the newspaper onto the nail, but I had some difficulty with that part.
Before you do these nails, you'll want to grab some newspaper and cut it up into small squares and you'll need rubbing alcohol as well. If you don't have alcohol, you can use water to transfer the ink onto the polish. I tried both and found that the alcohol works better.
For these nails, I painted three coats of OPI's My Vampire is Buff. Then, I put some rubbing alcohol in a cup and placed the newspaper into the alcohol. After the newspaper is wet, I firmly pressed the newspaper onto the nail for 10-20 seconds and slowly took it off.
Next, with a detail brush, I created the border with Sinful Colors Black on Black.
Finally, I topped it off with NYC'S Matte Me Crazy for a matte look.
This was my first time doing newspaper nails, but I think they came out okay. I had to press on the newspaper a couple of times as you can see, but I think it gives the mani an unique look.

Block B "Very Good" Nails
Hello everyone!
Today's post is a little late. For some reason, the photos wouldn't upload like they usually do. It took an hour on my laptop before I gave up, and then I moved downstairs to the family computer and the photos uploaded instantly. Technology is strange sometimes.
For today's mani, I did nails inspired by Block B's "Very Good" MV.
Block B is a K-pop group with a more hip hop sound. They're my favorite K-pop group probably of all time. Yes, I fangirl hard for them lol (I promise I'm not that bad haha). I absolutely love the song and the music video for it, so I had to create these nails for it.
I was inspired by different parts in the MV for these designs.
The pinky represents the microphone lines in U-Kwon and P.O's section of the MV. I painted one coat of Wet n Wild's French White Creme as the base color. For the lines, I used a long striper brush and made random lines using Sinful Colors Black on Black.
The ring finger represents the red skull that Zico holds. I painted my nail one coat of Orly's Star Spangled. Once it dried a little, I put on top coat to help the gems stick together. Using tweezers, I stuck on the gems on the top coat.
The middle finger represents the clown masks that they use to disguise themselves as they're robbing the bank. I freehanded this design using Wet n Wild's I Red a Good Book, Sinful Colors Black on Black, an unnamed maroon polish, and Wet n Wild's French White Creme.
The pointer finger is the design on Zico's sunglasses. I painted one coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black on my nail. With a dotting tool, I created dots around the nail with Wet n Wild's French White Creme.
For the thumb, I did the 730 floor design. I painted my nail one coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black. Next, I freehanded the numbers using a detail brush with Wet n Wild's French White Creme.
I think the hardest part of this design was the nail gems. I've never actually put this many gems on one nail before, but I really love how it turned out. The other thing was that the top coat that I used for this design (shown in the photos) dried really fast. I had to keep applying the top coat because it would dry before I could put any more on the nail.

Breast Cancer Awareness Nails
Hey everyone!
Today is going to be a late post since I decided at the last minute that I was going to do my nails today haha. We still don't have heat in our house, so I've been lounging in my room in my robe surfing the interbubbles (what I call the Internet lol). It's been getting so cold!
For today's mani, I did a pink manicure for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is actually my first time doing them as well. I personally don't know anyone who has had breast cancer, but I have recently lost a close family member to cancer, so I know how it feels to lose someone to cancer and how important it is to spread awareness about cancer.
I created a stained glass look for these nails. I painted two coats of L.A. Colors Bright Pink as the base color. For the stained glass effect, I used my detail brush and made random shapes on the nail using Wet n Wild's Tickled Pink. For the accent nail, I freehanded a white ribbon with my detail brush using Wet n Wild's French White Creme.
I think these are really cute. I wish I had painted the ribbon the other way so I wouldn't have to rotate my photos, but it's okay. I really love the base color. I'll definitely be posting Bright Pink in the future to show you all how pretty it is!

Halloween Mix n Match Nails
Hello everyone!
I don't really do holiday nails normally, but I decided to do some for Halloween. Halloween is probably one of my favorite holidays after Thanksgiving and Christmas. I really didn't want to do just one design on all my nails due to me being indecisive, so I decided to just do a mix n match of different designs.
I'm going to apologize in advance for the photos with my thumb in it. The thermostat at my house isn't working at the moment and it's making my wrist tendinitis act up due to no heat, so my poses with the thumb look so awkward lol.
For these Halloween nails, I did a variety of designs.
For the pinky, I was inspired by candy corn. First, I placed two pieces of striping tape onto my nail. With my detail brush, I painted Wet n Wild's French White Creme, Sally Hansen's Sunkissed, and Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow in the spaces. Once all the spaces were painted, I carefully took off the striping tape.
For the accent nail, I made a sugar skull. I first painted one thick coat of Wet n Wild's French Creme. Next, I put two drops of top coat on the nail to stick the gems on for the eyes. With my detail brush, I made two lines for the nose and a long black circle for the mouth with Sinful Colors Black on Black. Going back with the detail brush, I made white squares inside the mouth for the teeth with Wet n Wild's French White Creme. For the dots around the eyes, I used a small dotting tool and created dots with Sinful Colors Pink Forever and Sinful Colors Why Not. I finished it off with three small dots below the eyes using Sinful Colors Black on Black.
For the middle finger, I was inspired by The Nailasaurus's Halloween Patchwork nails. I first painted two coats of Sally Hansen's Sunkissed. With a detail brush, I sectioned and filled in the different sections with different colors (Sinful Colors Pistache, Sinful Colors Amethyst, and Wet n Wild's French White Creme). Finally, I used Sinful Colors Black on Black to make the patchwork detail.
For the pointer, I did a simple dotticure. I painted my nail one coat of Sinful Colors Amethyst. With a dotting tool, I created dots using Sally Hansen's Sunkissed, Sinful Colors Pistache, Wet n Wild's French White Creme, and Sinful Colors Amethyst.
For the thumb, I created blood drips. I painted my nail one coat of Wet n Wild's French White Creme. With a dotting tool, I made four dots and connected them to the top of the nail making blood drips using Wet n Wild's I Red a Good Book. Finally, I made big dots at the tip of the drip.
I finished off all the designs with Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri top coat.
I really like these nails! They were fun to do. My favorite is the candy corn, sugar skull, and the blood drips.

Sinful Colors-Silver Screen
Hey everyone!
I have Sinful Colors Silver Screen for you today. I've been wanting a metallic silver polish for quite some time. The only thing that was stopping me was because I'm not really a fan of metallic polishes, so I never bought one. I'm still not used to it being on my nails, but I think it looks okay.
I purchased this polish from Rite Aid for $.99. I think the display was Country Chic (correct me if I'm wrong) and all the polishes from that collection were $.99. I'm also guessing that this sale is just in Rite Aid stores. If you're looking for colors in that collection, it's best to pick them up while they're on sale.
Sinful Color's Silver Screen is a frosty metallic silver. This is two coats without a top coat. The application and formula were good to work with. I really had no problems with this polish.
As far as me wearing this, I don't think I would wear this by itself on all my nails. I would use it as an accent nail or for nail art if anything, or maybe bust it out during Christmas or New Year's. It's just a personal preference lol.
