Valentines Day Nail Art

Hello everyone!

Before I get to the design, I wanted to let you all know that I'll be pretty busy this week so posting will be at a minimum. I'll be on Facebook and Instagram for the most part though. 

Anyways, back to nails lol. Today I have a Valentines Day nail art to show you! I know it's a bit early, but I really wanted to do this design. I'll probably be doing some more V-Day nail designs, so be on the look out for those in the next month. Let's get to the design!

For my Valentines Day design, I started out with a gradient for my base. I used Sinful Colors Pink Forever, Sinful Colors Cream Pink, and Sinful Colors Aubergine for the gradient.

After the gradient dried, I made hearts with a small dotting tool using Wet n Wild's Tickled Pink. 

Finally, I topped it off with China Glaze's Fairy Dust and a top coat. 

I've told you all before how I don't really like pink, but this is an exception! I love the gradient and how the colors go together. It's a perfect color combination. It's such a cute and simple Valentines Day design or for any time really.

Dots and Lollipops

Hello everyone!

I have a cute nail art design inspired by one of my Hello Kitty plushies. This one is probably my favorite out of the ones that I own, so I had to do a design around it. Let's take a look!

I grabbed my inspiration from the polka dot dress and the lollipop that Hello Kitty is holding. Isn't she just adorable?

For the design, I started off with Sinful Colors Snow Me White as my white base. With a dotting tool, I placed polka dots on the nail. I used Sinful Colors Cream Pink, Why Not, Pistache, and Dream On for the dots. 

I used a detail brush to create the lollipop for the accent nail. I made a swirl with each color and then outlined it with the first color that I used (Tickled Pink). I used Sinful Colors Auburgine, Sinful Colors Pink Forever, Wet n Wild's Tickled Pink, Wet n Wild's I Red a Good Book, and Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow for the lollipop. 

Finally, I placed polka dots around the lollipop.

I love how cute and simple this design was to do. I wish I did a better job on the lollipop, but I'm happy with this design.

OPI - My Vampire is Buff

Hey everyone!

Today I have a swatch of OPI's My Vampire is Buff. I've actually used this polish quite a bit since I first bought it, but I never swatched it until now. I have a love/hate relationship with this polish, but it's more love than anything lol. Let's take a look!

My Vampire is Buff is an off-white creme. It looks like a vanilla color in certain lights to me. This is three coats with a top coat.

I love this color. Usually, I don't go for light colored nudes because of how it looks against my skin, but My Vampire is Buff is an exception. This polish is great for all everyone, which is why I love it. I also love it because it's great as a base for nail art. It can literally go with any color and not look bad.

The application and formula is what I hate. Well, I should say dislike. This polish is very streaky and even though it's a creme, it's a little on the watery side for me. You can't really see from the photos, but I can see some slight balding as well on some nails. The streaking smooths out after the third coat, but that's my main problem with My Vampire is Buff. Everything else I love about it.

Overall, I like this polish. I hate the streaking, but I would recommend buying this polish. It's great for nail art and it's very work friendly as well. I can see this as my go to polish if I have any interviews or just wearing it in general.

Revlon Parfumerie - Autumn Spice + Dotticure

Hey everyone!

I have a swatch of Revlon's Autumn Spice for you today. This is actually my first Revlon and scented polish, so I was excited to see how this polish would turn out. I really like this polish and it smells so good too! Let's take a look!

Autumn Spice is a copper brown polish with micro gold, orange, and pink glitter. This is two coats without a top coat.This is almost a one coater, but it's best to do two coats.

The application and formula were good to work with. I actually wore this on Christmas and I had a hard time applying it because of the ball on the top of the brush, but I didn't have any trouble this time. I guess it just takes getting used to.

The fragrance smells so good. I would say it smells like cinnamon and spice for the most part. It really reminds me of autumn. The great thing about it is that it's not overpowering at all, which is what I like the best. Don't smell it by itself though! I made the mistake of doing that the first time I opened it and it was bad lol.  

I decided to add on to it by creating dots with my dotting tools. I used Sinful Colors Gold Metal for the dots. This is the perfect color combination. I'm so glad that I added the gold dots to it. The dots really bring out the color of Autumn Spice.

Overall, I love Autumn Spice. It has a great formula and scent. I would recommend picking this up and some of the other colors if you're interested. I really want to try more in the collection if they're as good as Autumn Spice.

Sinful Colors- Daddy's Girl

Hello everyone!

Today I have a swatch of Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl. Also, I think this is my first swatch of the year lol. This week, I'll be bringing more swatches since most of my posts so far have been nail art.

This is actually one of my favorite Sinful Color polishes that I have, despite the weird name lol. I haven't worn it in a while, but I had forgotten just how beautiful it is. Let's take a look!

Daddy's Girl is a purple jelly with purple and gold glitter. This is four coats with a top coat.

I had no problems with the application. The formula was a bit on the thick side, so the drying time between coats were very long. I even chipped the polish off my thumb on accident after I thought it was all dry, and this was about 20 minutes after I painted it on my nails. This polish definitely needs a top coat afterwards so it can actually dry completely.

I wish I had captured the purple and gold glitter properly on my camera (I've had this on for a few days), but it's absolutely beautiful on the nail. At least you can see the polish in the bottle properly lol.

Overall, I really love this polish. This polish is for anyone who's a sucker for jelly polishes. It's a must in your collection!

Spongebob Coral Nails

Hello everyone!

Today I have an old nail art design from a few months ago. I don't know why I didn't post it, but it was in my drafts so I decided to use it for today's post lol.

I actually have a Spongebob poster in my room and I created the pattern that was on the coral in the background. It's one of my favorite posters that I own and has my favorite quote on there too. It says, "Born to be Weird." 

With that said, let's get to the photos!

For this design, I used Sally Hansen's Cherry, Cherry Bang Bang for my base color. With a detail brush, I created small stars using Sinful Colors Pistache. Finally, I finished it off with a top coat.

The green stars really pop out on this design. I wish I had actually drawn the coral out for these nails. Maybe I can save that for another nail design.

Rainbow Swirls

Hey everyone!

I've kind of had a dry spell when it comes to nail art. I've started to dislike the designs that I've sketched or I can't come up with new ones. It sucks because I'm trying to challenge myself with more nail art on the blog and in general. 

Luckily, I came up with a fun and colorful design to show you all today. I created this rainbow swirls manicure. Let's take a look!

For this manicure, I started off using Sinful Colors Snow Me White as my white base. 

With a thin detail brush, I created swirls in a rainbow pattern. For the swirls I used Wet n Wild's I Red a Good Book, Sally Hansen Sunkissed, Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow, Sinful Colors Innocent, Sinful Colors Endless Blue, and Sinful Colors Amethyst.

I love how colorful these nails are! The swirls really pop out in this design. I'm glad that this is one design that came out as planned. I want to try it out with different colors in the future.
