BPS Round Nail Studs

Hey all! How is everyone doing?

I have the last Born Pretty Store review for you today. I received these pink round studs (I'm just going to call them studs for now since I can't think of the correct term lol). These aren't shown under the product pictures, so I'm assuming they're the same item or they happened to change styles but didn't change the picture on the site. Let's get to the review!

There's five nail studs that come in a pack, which you can use for accent nails. These are priced at $0.99 right now, but they were originally $3.04.

For this manicure, I created a pink dotticure.

I applied two coats of Sinful Colors Creme Pink as the base color. With a dotting tool, I created dots using Sinful Colors Pink Forever. For the stud, I applied one coat of top coat and placed the stud onto the nail. Finally, I applied another layer of top coat to seal in the stud and my design.

As you can see, the stud barely fits my nail. I have a small nail surface, so the stud looks huge and sticks out on my nail. It just looks awkward on me. Also, the stud doesn't lay flat. Even with the amount of top coat that I used, the nail stud was on the brink of falling off my nail. If anything, it looks like a 3D decoration on my nail.

Unfortunately, I really don't like how these look on me. If they were a little smaller and laid flat on my nail, then I could see myself getting some use out of them. This will probably be the first and last time that I'll be wearing these. I'm kind of disappointed because these weren't even what I asked for and I don't like them on me.

If you're going to purchase these nail studs, I wouldn't recommend them for those who have small nails like me. These particular nail studs are more suited for those with larger nail surfaces. For only $0.99, these are a good price for these studs. But, these are not for me.

BPS Seashell Studs

Hello everyone!

I have these cute seashell studs from the Born Pretty Store that were provided for me to review. I'm trying to get through the Born Pretty Store products, so I only have one more review to do. Anyways, let's get into the review!

There's 20 3mm silver seashell studs in a pack, which equals to two full manicures or you can use them for accent nails. They're priced at $1.99 right now, so I'm guessing they're on sale. The original price of these are $2.78.

The best part is that you can probably reuse these if you remove them carefully. They're pretty sturdy, so you don't really have to worry about them bending or breaking. For the price of these, you're definitely getting a good amount of studs, especially when you can reuse them.

For this manicure, I went for a "sea" theme as far as colors go. I applied two coats of Sinful Colors Endless Blue as the base color. I added one coat of Sinful Colors Nail Junkie (a teal jelly base with iridescent glitter) for some sparkle.

The seashell studs were easy to apply onto my nails. After the glitter dried, I applied some top coat on the middle of the nail and pressed down lightly to make them stick into the polish. Finally, I applied another layer of top coat to seal in the studs.

I had a little trouble picking them up with my tweezers because they're pretty small, so I dipped the tip of a pencil into some water and it worked out. It wasn't really a big deal in the end.

I really love these seashell studs. It's too bad that I don't really wear gems that often because of how I use my hands throughout the day, but I would definitely get these in the future. They're so simple to apply and add onto your manicure, especially if you're doing a beach theme with your nails.
